Reminiscing my Working Days
It has been quite some time since I got my last paycheck from my employer. That is because it has been several years now since I quit my permanent job and became a full time stay at home mom.
But it doesn’t mean that because I stay at home, I no longer earn. On the contrary, I have more opportunities to earn because I have more time to work on different things and thus contribute to the family income.
When I say I am reminiscing, I remember the times when at work, I have to dress to kill because I meet with clients and also distributors. Because I deal with different people everyday, I have to look my best. I also attend and even organize special events where we have to dress up for something like an evening dinner. I remember the reports that I need to prepare and the quota that I need to meet because I was in direct sales. And most of all, I remember getting regular paychecks because I am a salaried employee. I also made some occasional payday loans whenever I was short because I knew I could pay them from my salary.
Well, those were the days. But all in all, I never really regretted my decision of leaving the corporate world in order to concentrate on taking care of my family and becoming small entrepreneur. At least I can spend more time with the kids and watch them grow. If only I had more support from you know where, I think that my home life would be very abundant and blissful. After all, I am a woman with simple wants and my happiness is really shallow. Hahaha…
My working days were good while they lasted. But I found great joy and satisfaction in what I am doing now. Sometimes though, I wonder, what would my life be if I hadn’t left my job? Hmmm…

Glad to have read this post. I admire you for being courageous enough to give up your career for your family…..I am seriously considering going that route….I am nervous but I know my priorities so it’s kinda giving me more strength….ur post is another proof that moms always are willing to give up their careers to ensure the welfare of their kids….

One thing I like with my old job before was, as long as I have my payslip with me i can take a loan anytime at any teacher’s loan place. I really miss my job and the benefits i get with my job
