Growing Up with Original Barbie Dolls!

Friday, December 2nd, 2011 |

When I was a child, I grew up with hand-me-down toys. My first Barbie doll was hand-me-down and even my second one. While I was growing up, we could never afford to buy original Barbie Dolls. But as you can see, it was not a sad tale, I loved all my hand-me-down Barbie Dolls because what mattered most was it was all-original!! Fake and look-a-like Barbie Dolls could not replace my preferences!!

When I had my first child, she didn’t get any hand-me-down Barbie Dolls. This time, her aunt in the US sent her brand-new and all-original Barbie Dolls. She got two!! So since I was on a tight budget (marrying young), I didn’t but her additional dolls but I did buy her dresses and accessories!! She had great fun while growing up with her Barbie Dolls!

Last month, my family and I attended the Pinay Mommies Community Second Grand Eyeball, Richwell Philippines was one of our sponsors. They raffled of many toys including HotWheels, Barbie Doll and many more! My kumare Willa (my youngest daughter’s godmother) won a Barbie Doll (Barbie Fashionistas Swappin’ Style). Since she has two boys, she decided to give it to my daughter as a gift. Thus, my second daughter got her first brand new original Barbie Doll!!

When we arrived the hotel room, I was not able to take a closer look of the doll immediately because I having a severe headache. So I just took a picture and went to sleep. A few days past, we returned home, settled in for a few days, and then I took time to check out the Barbie Doll that was given to my daughter. And guess what?!! This mom was turned to a child for a few minutes!! I can’t help myself but admired how the ligaments of the Barbie Doll moved!! The hands and the legs can rotate and move!! I remembered that my Barbie Doll could not fold her arms though her legs can bend a bit but this one was awesomely precise! The accessories too are now more detailed and the quality is still impeccable!

My old Barbie Dolls were handed to other children when I grew up. My eldest daughter’s Barbie Dolls are now owned by my youngest. As moms, we must be smart! If we buy imitations, it will only last a few weeks to months and our kids might be endangered because of the chemicals used when manufacturing these toys. Buying original toys can really go a long way! Fake and look-a-likes can never stand the test of time and even safety! Buy original Barbie Dolls and see how many girls can smile in time!

And speaking of buying original Barbie Dolls, now, I am so envious of all moms in Manila right now, Richwell Club is having an amazing sale. They are offering up to 80% off on all brands they carry including Barbie! I wish we were living in Manila right now; I could save a lot in buying original toys especially this Christmas!!

Anyway, if you are in Manila or going there this December, don’t forget to drop by at Richwell Warehouse and avail of their Christmas Sale!!

Found an Amazing Deal at AyosDito.PH

Sunday, April 17th, 2011 |

Last year, I got myself busy reading tips in buying laptops. I was really interested to know what to buy because I already asked my husband to buy me one for travel purposes as I am planning to join many blogger events this year. So, he told me to look for one.

After getting a go signal from him, I searched laptop for sale Philippines in all major search engines. Luckily, I was lead to AyosDito.PH. As I browsed for posted items, I was so excited to see many choices and aside from that, I was very happy because most of the listed laptops are just nearby and the seller can do meet-ups just in case I liked it.

But as I continued to browse all the free ads listed at our region, I saw a second hand complete desktop set being sold for Php 5,500 only. The package includes the following: Dell CPU, CRT monitor, keyboard, mouse, speaker and headset. So, I immediately contacted the seller about the item and after a few exchange of emails and text messages. I got the desktop!

AyosDito.PH is really a great place to look for things you might need from the comfort of your home. Aside from the fact that you can get great prices from the posted items, you can also get amazing deals!

The Ideal Toy Investment for Children

Monday, June 7th, 2010 |

When I was little, I always wanted to have cool toys. But my parents couldn’t afford to buy me toys, so I settled for hand me down ones. I didn’t complain much because I understood the situation my parents has. So when I became a parent myself, I wanted my children to have the toys they want if funding is available but if not, I just explain it to them.

Speaking of toys, I just saw a toy that I want my children to have. It is called Ekomini. It is the world’s first and only interactive, web-enabled piggy bank.

This cute orange piggy bank when connected to the PC and to the internet will let your children experience playing in Ekominiville which is an online educational game that helps children learn more about money and how to deal with it.

Take note, children who use this interactive toy can learn how to save, plan for purchase, share or donate to others, invest and spend their allowances. This toy also has a parental interface that will allow parents to get involved with their children’s activity online. This toy is an ideal investment for parents with children ages 6 to 12 and it is only $39.99 with FREE wallet and shipping!!

Review on Nestlé Ice Cream’s Sorbetes Ice Cream Stick

Monday, April 19th, 2010 |

Summer has already started a few weeks back here in the Philippines. And to be honest, it’s really making me take a bath of my own sweat! So, to avoid my children from getting a heat stroke or an asthma attack, I have no choice but to turn on the air condition unit to lessen the weather’s scorching heat. Aside from that, we take in cold treats for snacks.

And because of the weather and the global recession, I was able to met Nestlé Ice Cream’s Sorbetes Ice Cream Stick. It only cost Php 5.00 per stick and comes in all-time favorite Filipino flavors, Keso (Cheese) and Ube.

I already tasted the two and I say I love both of them! They are delicious and easy in on the budget. That is why it became an instant hit not only with my kids but even with the adults too!

Review on Drypers Wee Wee Dry

Monday, April 12th, 2010 |

I have three children and one of them is a six month old baby girl. Her name is Bella Grace.

Today, I am making an unbiased and unpaid review on her disposable diaper brand, Drypers.

When I was pregnant with Bella, I was invited to attend the National Breastfeeding Awareness Month Celebration at SM City Bacolod last August 2009. At the event, they gave out samples of Drypers Newborn.

So, when Bella was born, I used the samples I got from the event. To my surprise, Drypers Newborn was indeed very suited for newborn babies. And when Bella turned one month, I decided to switch into using Drypers Wee Wee Dry Small. Fortunately, it also turned out to be good for her. She didn’t get any rashes. She was very compatible with Drypers diapers.

When she turned six months last month, I was able to use a different brand because Drypers were not available at the store where I bought my groceries. Unfortunately, she developed rashes and the diaper was not coping up with her active development. So, until now, I am still using Drypers Wee Wee Dry Medium for her.

Though some may consider the brand’s price to be a little pricier compared to the usual diapers used by Filipina moms, I still believed that it’s the best buy. Saving from diaper creams and constant diaper change, I guess it is enough for me to continue patronizing Drypers Wee Wee Dry for my baby.
