Yoga for Me?

Friday, December 23rd, 2011 |

If there’s one exercise recommended to make one’s abs firm, it would be yoga. Doing yoga would be one challenging thing since it would take a lot of discipline, concentration, and a lot of your time. But of course, those who have been into yoga can testify at how it has changed their lives for the better.

Back in the days, yoga has always been associated with spirituality and the Hindu culture. Now modern yoga is not much into that, but they say it brings such a beautiful sense of peace and relaxation. I am all the more curious. All I have to do is to buy a yoga mat bag, a yoga mat… and couple it with a lot of determination! I am so wanting to find out if yoga would work for me.

Styled Diamonds

Thursday, December 22nd, 2011 |

There are certain common designs of diamonds set as jewelry. Oftentimes you see diamond studs for earrings, pendants, rings and watches. Sometimes you see a big diamond for a ring with studs as design at the the four corners. Watches use the studs also in place of the numbers. Pendants and brooches are often studded if diamonds are used. They are all nice but they are somewhat common.

How about a pair of Halo diamond earrings where there is a big diamond at the center and yet encircled with paved diamonds on the side? It’s a diamond within a diamond, you can say. Quite special.

Rebuilding the City

Thursday, December 22nd, 2011 |

Our city is called “The city of golden friendship”. I don’t exactly know the reason for its name, but we have come to understand its deeper meaning when our city has been plagued with the recent typhoon and storm. Thousands of people changed their profile pictures in facebook to “Help CDO” (CDO is short for Cagayan de Oro) in order to show concern, support and love.

DFTCorp.com tubing bender is one site that needs to be checked out when it comes to steel works. So much has to be done in order to rebuild communities and houses. It would definitely take time, but with concerted effort, it can be done.

No Gifts Yet

Sunday, December 11th, 2011 |

Since we spent a hefty amount of money last month, our Christmas is a little bit lonely this year. As of this moment, I haven’t bought any gifts for kids. We only have one gift under our Christmas tree. The gift was for my youngest given by one of her godmothers in Manila.

Anyway, Christmas Day is a few days away. So I still have time to produce a few bucks and buy them presents. I want to give them something even how small.

So I pray for unexpected blessings!

A Gift For My Best Friend

Wednesday, December 7th, 2011 |

My best friend is going to celebrate her 21st birthday in another two weeks time.  I really do not know what to buy for her this year.  After browsing through many websites, I still cannot decide what to get for her.  Dresses, she has aplenty, I thought of getting some perfumes but lately she hinted that she has a few bottles left.   I was at my wits end when suddenly I came across this beautiful cultured diamond engagement rings here in this website.  I think she will love this exquisite pendant very much!

Loving Someone

Wednesday, December 7th, 2011 |

While Valentine’s is usually associated with love, it is not exactly right. It should be Christmas because the reason for the season is Jesus Christ. It is God’s love for humanity that moved Him to send His son to the earth. So Jesus’ birth is basically the fruit of God’s very big love for us.

Sometimes, people equate love with kindness, generosity or material things. But real love cannot be measured in miles or micrometers. Love is such a big word.

It is just a shame though how people perceive love to be nowadays. They say, “I love this dress!” or “I love that show!” without thinking much about what it really means. For some, love means sex.

It is just so sad. But this season, let us remember the reason why we are celebrating Christmas. Let us remember that “Christ” is the prefix of Christmas because this is all about Him.

Finding Greener Pastures

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011 |

My eldest is going to be in High School soon. For sure she will be deciding on what degree to take up in the university before I even know it. My, where has time gone? I don’t want to dictate my kids on what degree they want to pursue. After all, it is their life and as parents, our responsibility would be to simply guide them and help them decide wisely on their options. Medical Assistant Jobs are in great demand both in Western and Middle East countries. Would I even want my kids to work abroad? Of course as a mom I would be missing them but if it would work best for them, why not? There are millions of Filipinos abroad who have found greener pastures and greater opportunities there, so I would be happy if they would be successful in the fields they have chosen abroad. But of course our country also needs us. Mind you, with hard work and diligence, there are also great opportunities right where we are as well!
