Family Fun Weekends

Thursday, April 26th, 2012

If there is one thing that people lack always, it is time. You hear those around you always say they wich time was longer. Most probably you have said so yourself. The problem with the lack of time is you miss to do what is really important.

It is good to be busy looking for money but oftentimes all the days are taken to focus on that one task. Even spiritual rejuvination is neglected. Would it not be great if you can have family time every week? It is the time you sort of rap things up, tell what happened to you for the past week. If there are problems, maybe others can help by at least giving an idea or two on how to go about it. It is also good to share blessings of the week.

It would be nice to have a Friday evening dinner. Make it special. Instead of going out with friends, stay with your family and have your own bonding. Make it more fun with special drinks mixed by one of those soda siphons. Mom can even make her own cake decoration and play with one of those cream chargers. Enjoy every week. When times get tough, it is your family you can turn to.

A Pleasant Surprise

Wednesday, April 25th, 2012

Women love getting flowers. May I add, they love to receive a bouquet of flowers. Some would smile gladly over a bouquet of roses, for some a bouquet of tulips is the preference. There is something about receiving flowers that affirms the femininity of a woman. Now what about a bouquet of cookies? Would women love that, too?

I think the answer is an affirmative. A bouquet of cookies would indulge any woman. I think it has the effect as receiving a box of expensive chocolates. And when you have the unexpected cookie bouquets delivered right at her home or apartment or at her office, it becomes even more special somehow. Since it is unexpected, it becomes really a pleasant surprise. Now, who doesn’t what that?

Compost Tumblers for Home Gardening

Sunday, April 22nd, 2012

If you have a lot of trees and plants in your garden or yard, you, no doubt will do a lot of raking. But instead of burning dried and dead leaves, why not put them in compost tumblers where it can make fertilizers for your garden. Composting is also a very good way to prevent our scraps from getting into landfills where methane gas that is very harmful to the environment is produced, worse than carbon dioxide. So instead of buying commercial fertilizers, you can save a lot by making your own organic plant food. It is safe and all-natural, at the same time, you are helping he environment.

The Beauty Of Musical Instruments

Saturday, April 21st, 2012

A single musical instrument is able to create music that can be wonderful to the soul. It can give relaxation like that of a classical guitar. Of course it still depends on the kind of music being played and how it is played. There are compositions that are better played with a group of instruments like that of a band. Normally it would consist of a keyboard, a lead guitar, a bass guitar and the set of drums. Again, the synergy and synchronicity of all players count in how the music will come out. Each instrument has a role to play and the quality of the instrument, say, a Rickenbacker Bass, gives good quality of sound too, contributing to the beauty of the whole.

Sifting Necessary

Tuesday, April 17th, 2012

There are certain times when sifting is necessary. In construction, sand is sifted to remove those bigger than whatever the screen size is to have a pure and even consistency. In baking, sieves are also used to have a finer flour removing all the other elements that can ruin a cake. Even in the spiritual world, sifting is also done to separate those who are Christ’s from those who are not. Imagine if you are doing the separation manually. How soon will you finish? Most likely you will not because you are more likely to give up even before starting.

Life Saver Helper

Monday, April 16th, 2012

It is one thing to know CPR which is a skill that will save lives when the time is right. Many of the causes of heart failure is due to the person’s own doing. While it is good to be able to revive someone it does not mean the person performing CPR is going against the will of the Cretor who gives and takes away life. If the person cannot be revived then that’s it but at least trying to do so gives life a chance. Having a holter makes it easier especially if the person is not skilled enough to do CPR.
