Last month, I already posted about my baby Bella’s health problem. Earlier this June 2010, we were able to confirm that Bella Grace, now nine months old, has hernia and the only solution to fix this congenital problem is via surgery.
Her surgical pedia doctor told us that we should prepare around 35,000 to 40,000 pesos (roughly $1000) to have her surgery done. This amount covers her three day ward accommodation, anesthesiologist, doctor’s fee and other miscellaneous hospital payments. At first, we thought we can get a discount from all of this if we apply my husband’s company insurance but unfortunately, congenital (existing medical conditions prior to birth) problems are not included with their insurance policy.
So, my husband and I decided that we will make a fund raising project (a term we use to save money) to raise money for Bella’s surgery. We will save up anything that we earn extra from our jobs, i.e. overtime pay, adsense earnings, extra work, blog hosting promo offers and contest winnings. Our goal is to have the money ready before December 2010, our target date for Bella’s surgery.
Then one time, Bella’s Godmother Pehpot and I were chatting online. She asked me about Bella’s situation and what are our plans about her surgery. When she heard about our fund raising projects and all services that I can do in exchange for service fees that we will save for Bella’s surgery fund, she offered help. She offered to manage a fund raising project online, which is now called “Blogging for a Cause.” I agreed to her idea because I know I can do online blog reviews and Marz Pehpot has the ability to get things organized and the talent to manage things (so kung mag-aartista si Bella, may manager na rin siya, LOL!).
After the chat, we continued our correspondence via email and talked about the idea. When I agreed, Marz Pehpot acted with haste. She immediately spread the word. After a few hours, Marz gave me the first batch of blogging for a cause orders. Praise God!!
Anyway, I am not yet finished with the first batch and the second batch is already on queue. I am so happy that many bloggers order a blog review. Not only that but many bloggers helped spread the word and extended their help financially!
Now, I wanna take this opportunity to thank all the Fund Donors to my Baby Bella’s Surgery Fund. I can’t thank you enough for all the help you have extended to my darling angel Bella Grace. Thank you very much and God bless all your generous heart.
I would like to thank Marz Pehpot for helping me raise funds for Bella and organizing “Blogging for a Cause.” I would also like to thank all the godparents of Bella Grace for helping Bella get her surgery as soon as possible. Thank you all for all the help, prayers, financial support and your blog orders. God bless you all!!
Since the idea of selling textbooks came to mind last 2008, I have been entertaining the idea of having a home based business – buy and sell textbooks business!! Well you see our country’s economy is not very supportive that is why not many of our children are in school and if they are in school most of them couldn’t afford to have textbooks especially in college because they lack budget. So, I thought why not try buy and sell textbooks. Buy textbooks from students who already finished a certain subject and sell it to those who are incoming for a lower price. So, having a used textbook is the best thing than having nothing.
Well, these are just silly things on my mind but they seem to be very nice ideas. I am not sure I am going to pursue this idea but I am sure it would be interesting if I do.
Many of you might be wondering why I have been offline for so many days. Not that I am busy doing outdoor fireplaces reviews but I have been resting. Last Thursday (June 17), I went to my OB and had a check-up. My eldest daughter too went to the pedia to have her skin problems checked. Then when evening came, my chest was feeling some kind of a pressure that I have no choice but to lie down and sleep.
When morning came, the pressure was still there, so my husband decided that I should go to the hospital and have it checked. So, I went to the hospital and have it checked. My mom, Bella Grace and I spent around 5 hours there waiting and getting lab works. After a few hours, the doctor confirmed that I have pneumonia at my right lower lung. He said that stress might be causing my body to be weak and be susceptible to diseases.
Aside from the news that I have pneumonia, my OB doctor also confirmed that I have a UTI and prescribe an antibiotic and so as the doctor for my diagnosed pneumonia. There, it was also explained that I have to stop breastfeeding my baby because of the kind of antibiotics that I am about to take.
Honestly, of all the news that was breaking that day, stopping my breastfeeding session with Bella was the worst of all! It made me so sad …very sad.
So now, I am already half way through my medication and Bella is no way adjusting to no breastfeeding. She is always awake at night and crying. That is why instead of resting, I always get up at night and carry Bella to sleep. This is the only way were she can be close to my body aside from breastfeeding.
Anyway, I am hoping that after my medication, I still have breast milk. I think I need to go another form of therapy to get the breast milk flowing again!
This post is long overdue. I should have made it the day when I got the package.
Anyway, here is the story behind these pictures: I was making an apidexin review when somebody was shouting and banging at our gate. Since mom was out to send my son to school, I was the one who opened it. When I opened the gate, I saw the postman. He asked for my name and gave me a package. From the look of it, I already knew it was the photos I ordered from ArtsCow.com. I was excited and took it.
After signing up the package slip, he gave me another notice slip. This was a notice slip saying that I have another pending package at the Post Office that I am the only that could pick-up because I needed to pay for the 35 pesos service fee.
So when mom arrived, I prepared myself then went to the post office to claim the package. The package was from Bella Grace’s godmother Shydub of Simply Happy Life. Here are the contents of the package: a beautiful pink and brown dress, shoes, headband and a Gerber food case (not in picture). Aren’t they a cutie?!
By the way, here is Bella Grace with her gifts in action:
To Marz Shy, thank you again for these wonderful gifts for Bella Grace. I really appreciate your efforts to send this. Muah!!!
The third installment of the Twilight Saga: Eclipse will be shown this coming June 30 in most theaters worldwide. So now, everywhere I go, I can see a lot of advertisements and promotional items pertaining to this upcoming movie.
Anyway, one of the recent finds we have are the Eclipse promotional tote bags sold for 20 pesos when you buy a dozen donuts from Dunkin Donuts. And since my daughter asked for a donut, I bought a dozen for the whole family and also for me to avail of the promotional tote bag. Here is a photo of what I got:
This Eclipse promotional tote bag from Dunkin Donuts comes in two colors, black and red.
I was doing my article on thermogenic fat burners when I saw a lot of tweets and Facebook updates congratulating Jovit Baldivino as Pilipinas Got Talent 2010 Grand Winner. So, I opted to check out YouTube to see who Jovit Baldivino and what talent he has.
When I went to YouTube, I saw Jovit Baldivino’s Grand Final performance and it was awesome. He indeed has the talent, the voice and the charisma to be the next singing sensation here in the Philippines and maybe in Oprah’s eyes too! Here is the video I found at YouTube:
Anyway, congratulations Jovit Baldivino – The First Pilipinas Got Talent 2010 Grand Winner!!
